      <image:title>Home - Hi, friends!</image:title>
<image:caption>Vaughn-Shane here. I'm a storyteller passionate about the things that shape our experiences, connections, and identities. That's now, but my writing career started in 2008, writing cringe-worthy paranormal horror stories about my friends. It wasn't until 2018 that I published my first book, Prismatic. That was also the year I wrote music for the stage adaptation of a book of poetry and moved to Chicago. I also support other creators and author conferences, freelance graphic design, guest speak on podcasts and to communities, and have adopted an absolute unit of a cat. I'm currently working on my forthcoming YA novel, The Culling.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Books - Prismatic</image:title>
<image:caption>Prismatic is the transparent memoir of Vaughn-Shane’s struggle to reconcile the unexpected death of his father and his independence as a gay man. It explores both the vibrant and darkest parts of the years he spent suppressing his identity. An empowering exploration of dysfunctional family ties, toxic love, mental illness, and debilitating grief, Vaughn-Shane embarks on a journey to rebuild his identity and come to terms with a new, refracted normalcy.
